Terms of Service
Last updated: August 15, 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account or otherwise using The Play Analyzer (“the service”), you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.
2. What the service does
The Play Analyzer lets coaches upload sports footage and get AI-assisted analysis — pose tracking, joint angles, motion-phase and footwork detection — running client-side in the browser, plus tools to organize footage by player, scrub frame-by-frame, annotate, record a narrated breakdown, and share it with a short link.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18, or have permission from a parent/guardian, to create an account. The service is intended for use by coaches and other adults in that capacity, not for direct use by children.
- You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for all activity that happens under your account.
- You agree to provide accurate account information.
4. Subscription plans and billing
We offer Starter (free, with a 7-day trial), Coach, and Academy plans, each with different limits on video count, video length, and footage retention — see our pricing page for current details.
- Paid plans are billed on a recurring monthly basis through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled.
- You can cancel or change your plan at any time from your dashboard's billing page, which opens Stripe's secure billing portal.
- Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable for partial billing periods.
- We may change our prices; if we do, we'll give you notice before the change applies to your next billing cycle.
- If a payment fails or your subscription lapses, your account moves to a read-only state — you can still view, share, and download footage you already have, but can't upload or record new footage until you resubscribe.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Upload footage you don't have the right to record, store, or share, or film people without appropriate consent (including parental consent where the subject is a minor).
- Upload unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
- Attempt to circumvent plan limits, reverse-engineer the service, or interfere with its normal operation.
- Use the service in any way that violates applicable law.
6. Your content
You own the footage and recordings you upload. By uploading content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it solely to provide the service to you — we don't claim ownership of it, we don't use it to train AI models, and we don't make it public except through a share link you explicitly create.
Anyone with a share link can view that recording without needing an account — you control who receives the link, and you're responsible for who you share it with.
7. AI analysis is a coaching aid, not a professional judgment
Pose tracking, joint angles, motion-phase labels, and footwork/balance estimates are lightweight, camera-based heuristics — not biomechanically validated measurements, and not medical, physiotherapy, or professional coaching advice. They're meant to give you a quick landmark to review footage against, not a scored or authoritative judgment. Don't rely on them alone for decisions about injury risk, injury recovery, or an athlete's fitness to play — talk to a qualified professional for that.
8. Intellectual property
The Play Analyzer name, logo, and the service's software are our property (or our licensors'). These terms don't grant you any rights to them beyond what's needed to use the service normally.
9. Termination
You can stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms. If your account is closed, your data is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you directly. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
